These are decadent! And, pretty easy to make, too

Ingredients:
Dough:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 egg
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp salt
5 tsp baking powder
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Icing:
1/2 stick butter, melted
3 3/4 cups confectioner’s sugar
3 tsp maple extract
1/3 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add butter and cut in with a pastry cutter (I’m so glad I finally bought one of these!) or a fork, until mix resembles small peas. Add pecans and mix lightly.

Add egg and cream. Mix until just combined – you don’t want to overwork your dough. Plop dough onto a lightly floured surface and form a 10″ – 12″ round shape. (I place my dough onto a pizza pan to help shape).

With a knife, cut dough into equal wedges. Here’s a tip: first cut an “x” shape, then cut a “+” sign, you’ll have wedges

Place wedges onto greased baking sheet, bake for 25 minutes. Let cool and ice with maple icing.
Icing:

Mix all ingredients in mixer and serve over cooled scones. Delish
